Yes, it is that time of the year and I am surfing the net cos I am bored.
Whilst reading the Sydney Morning Herald, I came across an article on Dr
Shock
http://www.smh.com.au/technology/sci-tech/dr-shocks-electrifying-christmas-displ
ay-is-visible-from-space-20101224-196yj.html
Check out the headlights on his bicycle :) Now that is what I call a
bicycle headlight :) Of cos the 30kg batteries needed are a bit of a
bother but, hey, those additional 3 x 100W rearlights need some juice as
well :)
OK OK OK, I concede - Dr Shock's contraptions are not as practical or as
compact as those I saw on The Fat Hippy's website
(http://www.users.on.net/~fathers/lightstoc.htm) - no obligation,
don't-know-the-bloke-from-a-bar-of-soup,
wouldn't-recognise-him-if-I-tripped-over-him, gratuitous free plug. :)
Also, it appears that using 1500 Watts (100,000 lumens) bicycle
headlights on a public road is illegal. Damn!! :)
Again Bah Humbug to all and ride safe.
