Any Idiots Left on ARBR?31 Mar 2007 04:24 GMT2
Believe it or not, there are not any real life idiots left on ARBR. I have
gotten rid of them one by one. Don't believe me? Go back on this newsgroup
and check out some of the posts from several years ago. There you will see
me battling it out with genuine idiots of the worst ...
Seat cover for Rans V-Rex?29 Mar 2007 06:20 GMT4
A while back I stumbled across site selling replacement seat covers
for the RANS V-Rex seats for something like $30 for an actual RANS
cover, and $15 for a generic. I didn't buy it then, and now I wish I
had.... I can find real RANS covers easily, but can't find this
Seat Creak on Street Machine GT27 Mar 2007 21:48 GMT5
I posted on this subject in 2005. The really loud creak from the seat
was causing me grief, and it was getting worse. I was genuinely
concerned the seat was going to fail, but could find no cracks in the
seat.
one-handed trike brakes27 Mar 2007 09:34 GMT24
Seriously considering a trike, maybe ICE but probably Scorpion.
I see you can brake the front two wheels either together with one hand, or
separately with two hands. Would it be correct to say the following:
With individual control you can have more fun in turns, by braking harder ...
Troll food27 Mar 2007 03:16 GMT68
I think it is safe to say despite the assurances of the Troll that this
group is dead.
I am going through the motions of setting up a new recumbent newsgroup,
it will have a mild amount of moderation, only to weed out the trolls
Carfree Sundays27 Mar 2007 00:46 GMT2
"And then to the rarest treasure, Golden Gate Park on a car-free
Sunday morning, the air wet and clean, the meadows green with the
promise of spring. Not a single automobile: The silence is deafening,
you can actually hear the branches dripping moisture, squirrels

Tee-shirts & cap (BENT RYDER)23 Mar 2007 15:53 GMT1
I bought these many years ago on ARBR.  Cap (white with blue 'bil')
was 'Bent Ryder lettering with 5 small recumbents pictured, shirt
(also white) had slightly larger lettering and pictures.  Is this
business still reading ARBR?  If not, does anyone recall this
sun protective clothing21 Mar 2007 01:36 GMT2
I have been buying sun protective clothing for my children for 6 years
now and I have had the best results from:

What would be your response?20 Mar 2007 19:12 GMT11
This is almost too stupid to be legal...
It was a beautiful day.  I was riding my beloved Penninger on the sidewalk
in Delray Beach, Florida (no, the police don't bother me because I'm a
traffic hazard if I ride in the street and, besides, riding in the street
Why does Tom Sherman continue to persecute the Great Ed Dolan?20 Mar 2007 12:10 GMT2
Yea, that is the question. Ed Dolan the Great, who has ever been a
credit to ARBR and the most gentlemanly of posters, continues to be
persecuted by the nefarious Tom Sherman, a villain if ever there was
one.
ARBR - the worst of the worst!20 Mar 2007 11:54 GMT2
Is ARBR the worst newsgroup that has ever existed on Usenet? I propose that
it is. There is no newsgroup that I know of that has a greater per capita of
idiots, morons and imbeciles than ARBR. It is not a large group and that is
what makes it so easy to analyze. Yea, it is ...
Stupid song to sing while riding19 Mar 2007 20:40 GMT2
My bent's benter than your bent
My bent's benter than yours
My bent's benter cause mine's a Penninger

is it practical to own one in the uk ?19 Mar 2007 10:26 GMT3
Im thinking of getting recumbent to try and get some exercise as I
have very bad muscoskeletal problems that pretty much have me on
crutches , however I am worried about how practical it is to have one
where I am in the Highlands / Scotland.
Lending out your bent18 Mar 2007 18:19 GMT8
I'm betting there is not a single person in this group who would lend out
their bent to anybody but their most trusted friends.  Twice I've stopped to
talk with people and we became friendly.  They eventually ran out of beer
and asked me if they could borrow my trike to go to the ...
