Cherboug to Barcelona in 16 days- -Are we Mad???28 Apr 2005 13:19 GMT3
What do you think?? Will we have to get a few trains?? If so, where is
the best place to get them and what are the relegations in France
about bringing a bike on a train. We want to cycle along the Loire
Valley at some point. It's about 1000km as the crow flies
riding a bike out of Shannon airport?27 Apr 2005 21:10 GMT13
Has anyone ridden a bike out of Shannon airport into the Irish countryside?
Is this do-able or difficult? I am thinking about getting a Bike Friday and
using the little bike trailer as my only transportation in Ireland, and I
would appreciate if someone would tell me if I am being ...
Getting a bike out of NYC/Penn Station27 Apr 2005 14:45 GMT5
I may have the opportunity to take a bike to the East Coast USA by train
(Amtrak). There are trains with baggage service which will deposit me,
my bags, and a boxed bike in New York's Penn Station. Obviously I could
assemble my bike there and start pedalling, but then I'm limited

Does anyone know where I can find a list of the riders in the Tour de
Georgia AND the numbers they wore?  I am interested in finding out who
number 77 was, who he rides for, and where he finished.

A Student cycling in France25 Apr 2005 10:56 GMT1
I am looking for advice on cycling in France. There are four of us
going over at the end of May. We're starting from Cherbourg and hoping
to head down to Bordeaux, across the Loire Valley and on to Barcelona
to fly back to Ireland. We want to stay out of cities and large towns.
Group Ride in/near Bisbee?22 Apr 2005 21:02 GMT8
My wife and I are going to be in Bisbee AZ near the end of May and I
was hoping to hook up with a group ride either in Bisbee or close by.
Is there an active cycling club in that area that I could ride with?  I
know the Vuelta de Bisbee will be held there next week, so I hope they

This seems like a good bike to take on a trip. Has anyone here had
experience with this bike?

YAWTT (Yet Another World Trip Thread)19 Apr 2005 14:07 GMT1
My name is Jason, I live in the U.S. and I'm planning an
around-the-world trip for a charity (Oxfam).  While I've never done
anything long-distance like this,  I've been cycling exclusively for
transportation since around 1994 and I'm an improv sort of guy anyway.
Buying a bike in Ireland?19 Apr 2005 03:22 GMT3
Okay, here is my half-baked plan: I will fly to Ireland to see the country.
While there, I will buy a folding bike. After a couple of weeks, I will put
it in a case and bring it back to the States, where it will be a "used" bike
when I bring it through Customs.

Tailwinds to Santa Cruz16 Apr 2005 04:55 GMT11
While most area cyclists seemed to be riding the Tierra Bella on
Saturday, I recently enjoyed a fun ride from Sunnyvale, CA over the
Santa Cruz Mountains to San Gregorio, south on CA1 to Santa Cruz, and
then back home on CA9, Skyline, Page Mill, and Moody Roads.
