Santa Fe - Taos Area28 Nov 2008 21:21 GMT9
I'm looking to plan a trip to New Mexico this summer and was wondering if
anyone had advice on definite rides to do or alternately where not to go. I
am looking to do some climbing. I know it's not the high peaks like Colorado
(did that this past summer), but the area intrigues ...

This could be for people interested not only on bike riding: a
beautiful brochure on Alpi Apuane, the stunning mountains between
Massa, Carrara and Lucca, in Tuscany (Italy).
I post this for the benefit of anyone, but especially Ken Roberts'.

Oil drilling rigs may be put in at Moab.
For the specific leases listed would require the conversion of the
Mountain bicycle trails to heavily used roads.
Saddle/Seat bag .. question10 Nov 2008 17:59 GMT3
I'm sure most all have the little bag attached to the back of the saddle,
back and to the rear.
I'd like to find one that may offer some more room, but won't interfere
with riding my bike..
Cycling in South America?07 Nov 2008 15:13 GMT3
I'm wondering if any of you cycling newsgroup readers have ever cycled
in South America?
I have a missionary brother who's living in Bogota, Columbia right
now. In the future, I'd like to visit him via cruise ship.
Switzerland high passes report04 Nov 2008 15:06 GMT15
Over the last few years I rode up and down lots of the high passes of
Switzerland, mostly riding single-day loop routes. I found lots of fun +
pretty riding (not a surprise), and I'd gladly do lots of it again. This
year I finally connected it all into a continuous route, so I've ...
Switzerland mountain roads questions04 Nov 2008 02:02 GMT57
I've gotten to sample riding some of the high passes and mountain roads of
Switzerland, and now I've got some questions about it.
(a) What is your favorite high road or pass to ride? What is it that you
like so much about that one?
Alps (2005)03 Nov 2008 02:48 GMT22
There seems to be a resurgence of magnificent touring so I thought
this ride report might inspire others to see these place.

NE Italy + Dolomites mountain roads questions02 Nov 2008 05:53 GMT5
I've been riding some of the high passes and mountain roads of northeast
Italy, and now I've got some questions about them:
(a) I've ridden several of the obvious passes over major roads in the
Dolomites, but I notice the map has lots of other smaller roads (unpaved?)
